NEXT GUILD MEETING:
Sunday, January 11, 5 PM
at the Puppet Showplace Theatre,
32 Station St., Brookline, MA
Program:
PUPPET VOICES
Vice Presidents Maggie Whalen and Sparky Davis are planning a meeting about "Puppet Voices" for the Jan. 11 meeting. We would like to have a panel presentation by several BAGOP members, each one presenting one puppet, demonstrating its voice and giving a brief description of how he/she arrived at that voice.
We hope to follow this with a participatory "going round the circle" voice improv exercise involving all members.
Please e-mail Sparky Davis (Popcorn700@aol.com) before Dec. 31 if you want to be a part of the demonstrations. The more the merrier!
— Maggie and Sparky
There will also be a Show and Tell, and “Where You At” for people to tell what they’ve been up to. We will also talk about ideas for the next Day of Puppetry.
There will be a potluck supper during the break, so please bring something to share. (And remember to take your dishes at the end!)
Future Meetings Scheduled:
March 8th, May 17th

The Boston Area Guild of Puppetry is a chartered guild of the Puppeteers of America. We are a collection of puppeteers and puppet enthusiasts ranging from professional performers and artists to educators and hobbyists, located throughout upper New England. We hold meetings several times a year at the Puppet Showplace Theatre, to share knowledge and inspiration, and to offer support to other puppeteers.
We offer workshops, consultations and support for those interested in puppetry. We have members who specialize in custom-made puppets. We also have members who offer performances at a variety of venues such as schools, community centers, and birthday parties. Learn more about BAGOP. |
